Affirmative action

"Affirmative action is the policy of favoring members of a

disadvantaged group when accepting applicants for jobs,

schooling, or programs. The purpose of the practice is to

resolve inequities that occur due to discrimination" (Mezey 25).

Reverse Discrimination

"Discrimination against a member of majority or privileged group in favor of a member of a minority or historically subordinated group on the basis of race is referred to as reverse discrimination" (Policy, Affairs And 233).
