Directions

For EACH book you read outside of the classroom, you will be reponsible for giving a 2-3 minute "BOOK TALK" to the class. Use the guidelines explained in class and the rubric given out in class to plan your presentation.

Your book talk should...

  • reflect that you have read and understood the book
  • sell the book to your classrmates
  • not give the ending away
  • be creative and well rehearsed!

Fiction

Required: Introduction with passage from text, succinct summary, and opinion of the book

Virtual Poster - Discovery Ed Board

Use Google drawing or Discovery Ed Board Builder to create a virtual poster that fulfills your book talk requirements.

Both tools - share with your teacher to hand in. For Discovery Ed be sure to tell your teacher that you are choosing this tool so that they add you to their DE class.

Makerspace

There are iPads, a green screen wall and other materials available in the Makerspace to help with this project. There is also the Tech Squad who are students trained to help you with technology projects. Pick up a Makerspace pass in the morning in the library.
