CMS Historical Fiction: Scrapbook

Choose a character from your novel and create a scrapbook from the first person point of view. Include one page for each of the following:

• Cover Page: Character, Your Name, Period
• Illustrations/Pictures of Setting: place, time and mood
• Characterization- Poems or Original Writing
• Characterization- How has the character's point of view changed since the beginning of the story? -Conflict- Show an example of an internal conflct (man vs. self)
• Conflict- Show an example of an external conflict (man vs. man)
• Theme - the deeper meaning of the story that is implied
• Literary Device - Choose one device found in your novel (symbolism, figurative language, imagery, etc.)
• 2 Choice Pages: Remember to maintain your character's point of view.

DO NOT use stapled construction paper or write in pencil.
REMEMBER the scrapbook is NOT a retelling or summary of the novel. Use pictures, words, phrases, images, and quotes from the text to capture the character's journey.
