Hands-on House

The Hempfield School District’s Library Media Program and Hands-on House, Children’s Museum of Lancaster have developed a new partnership. Designed to increase access to the museum for the district’s students and their families, the partnership provides two family museum passes in each of the district’s seven elementary school libraries for checkout.  Admission to the Clubhouse, which features STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) + Art activities, during regularly scheduled hours, is also included as part of the library pass.

• Kits must be reserved at least two days in advance
• Kits may be checked out any school day but are always due the following Monday (or the next school day following a school break).
• A kit may only be checked out once per student per school year.
• If a pass kit is lost, the replacement cost is $10.
• Passes are good any day the museum is open, but not for special programs or events at the museum.
